First Persuasive Paragraph

Freshmen should/should not be allowed to go on self pass.

"Freshmen should not be allowed to go on self pass!" There are many reasons why freshmen should not adopt self passes. The many reasons are quite different in many ways. Are such as responsibilty, many freshmen don't have the responsiblity. Why? Many freshman don't have the responibilty or maturity on this campus, they would behav wrongly out side this campus. Another reason why is that they would not manage thier time correctly. Why? Freshman are young and don't really care, from what I have heard they don't complete thier work on time. Missing a bus from self pass could lead to more and more problems. Thoose are few of the reasons why freshmen should not be allowed self passes.

Theme Graphic Organizer

"The Bass, the River, and Shelia Mant’ Airhead Stereotype."

Prompt A: Write a persuasive paragraph objecting to Shelia Mant’s characterization as a beautiful airhead. This should have a topic sentence, supporting details, and closing sentence

Anwser:

Sheila Mant's characteristic isn't that bright as a beautiful airhead. I think that the stereotype that has been going around is that if you are beautiful that means that you are also dumb at the same time. I really object to this stereotype that is going on in the story and life. In the story Sheila Mant is considered dumb but beautiful just like the Sky on a sunny day. It shows that people doesn't really care on how people are in school and on the real world it the way they look. I disagree.

Internal and External Conflicts Book: The Bass, The River and Sheila Mant

In the story The Bass, The River and Sheila Mant, the main character faces both external and internal conflicts. The external conflict in the story is that the main character is trying to impress a girl but she doesn't like fishing and he happened to have one of the biggest fish on his line. Then the internal conflict is that when he was trying to keep hold on the line without disturbing Sheila Mant, the main character just cuts the line and loses the girl. It's a double wammy. As the result of these conflicts the narrater changes by making the main character cut the line and get Shiela Mant ditch him.
